Reading is the foundation of all learning.
THE READING ADVANTAGE aims to have children read well, understand what they read, and love to read.
This enrichment program begins with a review of letter names and sounds, and culminates with students knowing how to decode (read words in isolation), spell and write words properly, and read connected texts fluently. Skills are learned and enforced through through oral drills, online games, and other multi-sensory activities.
Online small group classes are supplemented with learning kits which are sent monthly.
*Twice a week, 45-minute online teaching sessions with asynchronous assignments

Beginning Reading A
Students will be taught Beginning Consonant Blends, Digraphs, and Sight Words (Set A) and be exposed to engaging children's books
Beginning Reading B
Students will learn End Consonant Blends, Long Vowel Sounds, Controlled Vowels, Double Vowels, and Sight Words (Set B) and practice reading books
